Bay Area Heat Advisory – Bay Area Telemundo 48
According to the National Weather Service, the entire Bay Area will be placed under a heat advisory beginning Monday morning and continuing through Wednesday night.
Temperatures in inland cities could reach 105 degrees in some places and coastal highs could reach 93 degrees, forecasters said.
Even the warmest microclimates in San Francisco should reach 85 degrees on Monday, according to the weather service.
The heat advisory will be extended from Monday at 11:00 AM. until Wednesday at 23:00.
Onshore winds are expected to return Wednesday afternoon, bringing relief to coastal areas Thursday, but inland areas are expected to remain warm through Friday, the weather service said.
The heat will be such that no one should leave people or pets in vehicles without air conditioning. Outdoor activities should be limited for those who are sensitive to heat. and people need to stay hydrated.
