Youths attack residents at Safeway in San José – Telemundo Bay Area 48

More than a dozen youths on bicycles attacked several residents Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a Safeway supermarket in San Jose.

Police said the incident occurred around 2:07 pm when the group of at least 50 youths started taunting people by throwing stones and objects at them.

Although several victims were struck by the objects, none were injured, according to authorities.

A squad of officers responded to the scene and circled the area looking for the group who had fled and dispersed before police arrived.

The incident remains under investigation.
