Bay Area Polluted Air Alert – Telemundo Bahía 48 Area


High temperatures and light winds, combined with vehicle exhaust, will lead to unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area for the next two days, aviation district officials said.

According to the Gulf Air Quality Management District, a dirty air advisory is now in effect for both Monday and Tuesday.

“Very high interior temperatures and light offshore winds, along with motor vehicle exhaust, will continue to create high concentrations of ozone or smog,” the air district said in a news release.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory as of 11:00 a.m. Monday. to 11:00 p.m., inland temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees and coastal areas will be in the mid 80s to mid 90s.
