Janine Niépce photography exhibition puts women’s work – and emancipation – in the spotlight

French photographer Janine Niépce was one of the country’s first female photojournalists. A new exhibition of her photographs, some of which are on display for the first time, examines the rise of the working woman against the backdrop of the women’s rights movement in the second half of the twentieth century.
