From lawyer to entrepreneur: the visionary who created a delivery app for people with dietary restrictions
Originally from General Pirán, a small town in Buenos Aires in the district of Mar Chiquita, Nahir Caro Lemble She studied law at the Catholic University of La Plata (UCALP) and then decided to move to the city of Buenos Aires for work reasons, not imagining that years later she would start a project there that would change her life forever.
Once installed in the Federal Capital, she began to identify a common problem that some members of her environment suffered from. At various social gatherings or restaurants, I have seen how these people with dietary restrictions or choices They had to take a snack because they didn’t have too many options to eat.
At that time, the idea to develop was born Welly Goapp that lets you segment gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian options. It’s about providing users with the same comfort as others delivery platforms, but aimed at an audience with specific needs.
Launched in 2024, the app gives consumers access to dishes filtered according to their requirements, avoiding manual searches through menus that don’t always offer suitable alternatives.
“Today, you have to do 200 clicks to buy a type of TCC-free or vegan product. IN Welly Go“On the other hand, the process is much simpler: from each restaurant, only dishes will appear for the category you specified on the platform,” explains Caro Lemble.
By not displaying the entire menu at each location, users can more easily search for their favorite foods without having to deal with searching through tons of products they would never choose. It is even a a safer alternativebecause there is a lot of mistrust of places that claim to be celiac or vegan friendly and actually aren’t: The app guarantees that the consumer will get what they want.
Developing an application with these features was not an easy task. Caro Lemble faced many challenges from the start. Among them, a delay in trademark approval, which took a year to complete. There were also other problems that necessitated the postponement of the launch.
Despite the difficulties, their persistence and entrepreneurial spirit allowed the project to move forward. “The times never go hand in hand with one’s own projection. But what, for me the most important thing is to focus and make the project grow: you have to keep looking for the goal so that at some point you can see the fruits,” he says.
Welly Go’s mission goes beyond being a delivery app. The platform also focuses on promoting a healthy and ecological lifestyle. To this end, it supports the use of ecological products and prefers to work with suppliers who share this commitment.
The success of the application in Buenos Aires led the entrepreneur to plan its expansion to other cities in the country. In fact, he acknowledges that although the supply of healthy products has increased, many regions still need to improve in terms of availability.
“When I started going around the premises, I found completely opposite facts. I think that even though there are already several options on the market, there is much more to be done: we need it to continue growing,” reveals Caro Lemble.
In addition, the platform plans to include new categories that will allow more people with special diets to easily find what they need. The demand for vegan, gluten-free or vegetarian products is increasing and Welly Go It has established itself as a tool that responds to this trend and improves the quality of life of its users.
The vision of this entrepreneur, General Piran, has undoubtedly changed the way people with dietary restrictions can enjoy food, and the future of the app is projected towards continued growth and greater geographic expansion.
