Medical caravan for the benefit of the inmates of the local Al Hoceima prison
The Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners organized, on Sunday, a multidisciplinary medical caravan for the benefit of prisoners in the Al Hoceima local prison.
This initiative, carried out in collaboration with the local prison, Al Hoceima Prefecture, Al Hoceima Provincial Health and Social Protection Delegation, Tangier University Hospital Center, Tangier-Tetouan Al-Hoceima District Council, and several agencies of civil society, in the context of the issue “Strengthening health care, entry point for reintegration” is part of the attention given by the Foundation to the health of the prisoners and their social reintegration.
According to the regional coordinator of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of prisoners in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Mohamed El Mkadmi, almost 200 prisoners have benefited from the services of this medical caravan in various specialties, such as cardiology, pulmonology, psychiatry, dermatology, ophthalmology, endocrinology and urology.
A medical and paramedical team consisting of about 14 specialist doctors as well as several health professionals supervised this caravan, during which numerous services were offered to this section of the society, he said, before highlighting the efforts to provide the necessary medicines and equipment, in order to guarantee the success of this caravan from Tangier.
The caravan “was done in a fluid and orderly manner and was well received by the inmates of the store,” he insisted.
