Nobel Prize in Physics awarded to John Hopfield, Geoffrey Hinton for machine learning discoveries

The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded on Tuesday to John Hopfield of Princeton University and Geoffrey Hinton of the University of Toronto for their “fundamental discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks.”
