Sellers affected by high temperatures in the San José area – Telemundo Bahía 48
High temperatures continue to hit the Bay Area with the hottest day expected to be Wednesday.
In San Jose, outdoor cooks were among those affected by the sun’s rays Tuesday.
“The iron is hot and the temperature is also very hot, it feels very hot,” said one taco vendor.
Although the calendar now shows October, the extreme temperatures in the gulf feel like summer.
San Jose experienced temperatures of 101 degrees.
However, despite the heat, the vendors assured that they still have to go out to work.
However, those who sell food assured that despite the heat they are reaping the benefits of having more customers.
“Many who don’t want to cook because of the heat come for dinner,” said one worker.
For Angie Guevara, the weather allowed her to show off her scratches, but the heat didn’t come without its setbacks.
“A lot of animals come out and also the customers don’t leave their houses and prefer not to go out until after dark,” said Angie Guevara, an employee at Mini Queen Pancakes.
It sells nachos and a selection of desserts that it also has to monitor more closely to meet health requirements.
“For example, on nachos, the cheese has to be at its temperature, on the fruit it has to be at its temperature, the ice cream, all of that. The ice for the shave ice has to be at its temperature,” Angie explained.
But the advantage is that you cook at home.
“And well, we have the hood to help us remove all the heat in the kitchen,” Angie said.
