Solidarity campaign in the subway: on the H line they will provide free haircuts for patients undergoing cancer treatment
In light of Awareness and Awareness Month about Breast cancerwhich has been established for years in October, spol Buenos Aires SE Subways (SBASE) will join next monday ka solidarity initiative with the aim of helping cancer patients.
The campaign is called #UnPelitoMásFácil and suggests hair donation for those people who are going through a disease whose treatment causes hair loss.
In this sense, based on the organization of the Bellamente Foundation and the production company Lado H, this September 30, there will be a booth volunteer hairdressers at Santa Fe station – Carlos Jáuregui (Line H) that they will make cuts for passengers who want to cooperate. It will be between 12:30 and 3:00 p.m.
Professionals are part of the foundation Scissors of solidarity and they will gather the locks of the hair of those who offer themselves make wigs. These will be added to the campaign bank and provided free of charge to girls, teens and adults undergoing cancer treatment as detailed.
“During the day, hair or wig donations will also be accepted and information about this initiative will be provided,” SBASE said in this regard. In these cases, the cut hair must be delivered in a well-sealed nylon bag.
Certain requirements must be met in order to donate. According to the company, it is necessary for the hair to be clean, dry and at least 15 centimeters long.
At the end, the donors will receive a diploma for the solidarity action and will be able to deliver a letter addressed to the person who will receive the wig, if they wish.
In addition to this event, from September 29 to October 6, those responsible for the #UnPelitoMásFácil campaign will carry out a series of activities in the city that aim to reflect on the relationship between physical health, mental health and self-esteem.
