Tepa Butcher Shop Selling Quality Meat in South San Francisco – Bay Area Telemundo 48

In South San Francisco, there is a butcher shop that remembers the flavors you can only get in Mexico, they have a seasoning that is the secret to their meats so that their customers always come back for more.

“As the customer wants the meat, so we give it to him,” said Leo Zabaña, owner of the butcher shop.

Tepa Butcher Shop is located on the corner of Aspen Avenue and Linden Avenue.

“The spices, the teas, the seeds, the creams, everything you need for a roast beef and if you don’t want to work, we go to Tepa, we buy sauces, rice, beans, guacamole, tortillas, everything.” said Marta Zabalza, co-owner of Carnicería Tepa.

And their specialty, meats.

“Ranchera meat, which is what most people eat and so everything that’s taco meat, chicken, pork, pastor and well, we actually have a wide variety of meats of all types,” Leo said.

Tepa butcher shop was established 30 years ago.

“The idea came from the fact that I was working with an uncle who owned a butcher’s shop and the opportunity to open a butcher’s shop opened up for me and it was given to me and until now I continue to thank God.” Leo said.

Now Leo, his wife Marta and their children run the business, offering a unique taste to their clientele.

“We have a special seasoning that we bring from Santa María, most people take their seasoned meat with them just to grill,” said Marta.

And it is this seasoning, which is for sale, so that everyone can add this flavor that so delights the palates in the bay.

But customers also come back because of that good treatment and those contagious smiles.

“I work as a family and all the employees are like my family,” Leo said.

“The whole family works here together, some in one thing, some as cashiers or butchers, others in the kitchen and so on,” Marta said.

Grateful, they also look for every opportunity to serve others, in local groups or in their beloved Jalisco.

“Give him your will and your patience. It will happen in different ways over several years and once it is established and then maintained, it’s all about staying active. The secret to success is customer service, no matter what the customer asks for,” Leo said.
